Nadaaniyan Movie Review; Ibrahim Ali Khan Makes A Charming Debut, The Next Heartthrob!

Rating: 3/5

Cast: Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor

Director: Shauna Gautam

Storyline:

To clear up a misunderstanding with her best friends, Pia (Khushi Kapoor) hires Arjun (Ibrahim Ali Khan) to pose as her boyfriend.

Despite their stark differences – Pia, a privileged but emotionally neglected daughter of a powerful businessman (Suniel Shetty), and Arjun, a middle-class, fiercely ambitious young guy, their arrangement starts as a simple transaction. However, as real emotions creep in, their carefully constructed facade begins to crumble, leading to unexpected complications.

Mixing love, ambition, and societal expectations, Nadaaniyan explores what happens when a pretend relationship starts feeling all too real.

Nadaaniyan Movie Review:

Ibrahim Ali Khan makes a confident and charismatic debut in Nadaaniyan, proving that he has the makings of Bollywood’s next heartthrob. With his good looks, effortless charm, and natural screen presence, he steals the show, especially in the second half. While his dialogue delivery feels a little awkward in the beginning, he quickly finds his rhythm, striking a balance between cockiness and vulnerability. Plus, he can dance – a definite bonus.

However, Ibrahim deserved a more dynamic co-star for his first film. While he brings energy, goofiness, and charm to his role, Khushi Kapoor struggles to match his pace. Their chemistry feels off, especially in the lighter, flirtier moments. She does show some emotion in the more dramatic scenes, particularly in the tear-jerker confrontations, but for the most part, her performance comes across as stiff and monotonous.

Nadaaniyan’s cast also features seasoned actors like Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhary, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj in parental roles. Their presence adds depth and dignity to an otherwise light-hearted rom-com.

Unfortunately, the writing is a weak point. The dialogue often feels like something straight out of Wattpad, with some lines so cringeworthy they cause secondhand embarrassment. The film’s saving grace is its pleasant soundtrack, with Ishq Mein already becoming a fan favorite.

Despite its flaws, Nadaaniyan is a promising launchpad for Ibrahim Ali Khan, who shows potential. With the right projects, he could easily become Bollywood’s next big Crush.
